Golf Course Superintendents from around the state volunteered their time and shared their knowledge with these students.

Heritage Park Golf Course welcomed students from Merriam Elementary and Tomahawk Elementary this year. Students rotated through five different interactive stations learning about soil, water conservation, measuring areas, and learning how to putt with a putting contest to finish out the day.

KSHB even came out and interviewed our Superintendent Ethan Shamet. You can watch that interview here – KSHB First Green Event Interview

First Green can be adapted for students in 5th grade through high school. If your school would be interested in participating in this program you can reach out to Ethan Shamet at ethan.shamet@jocogov.org.
